Information for charities

We have received a large volume of applications and interest – a big thank you to everyone who has supported us in this way. We are in the process of building our donor base, and we will be responding to all correspondence and applications when we have done this and are able to make grants.

There is now a list of projects that we are looking for. If your charity runs a long-term project in one of these areas then we would like to work with you.

The grants

Grants will be awarded at the discretion of the trustees. Our aim is to create a portfolio of projects and services that satisfies our donors, and we will decide this using a range of indicators from donors and potential donors. Funding requests for projects and services should be submitted to Charity Applications and should include:

  1. A description of the project/service
  2. The charitable area(s) the activity tackles
  3. A detailed budget

Project descriptions may be published on our website, and may be included in future website polls. Charities will only be identified in the project descriptions on our website or elsewhere in our work with their express permission.

We will also consider funding parts of projects/services. We are looking for a wide range of activities to fund, so applications are welcome from all charities. Records of all applications will be kept to inform future granting decisions, and when funds become available we will contact you without further application.

We want to encourage charities involved with long-term projects/services to apply to us. Grants will typically be short-term, but our simple application and reporting procedures make it possible to offer grants that are renewable for the duration of an activity.
